TKL Precast Group Inc. o/a TKL Group Inc. is looking for full time Carpenter at 8620 Oakwood Drive, Niagara Falls ON L2G 0J2 Canada. There are 4 positions available. Main duties and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:• • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine precast concrete formwork specifications and calculate material requirements. • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. • Knowledge of concrete forming and be able to use hand tools and power tools as per the formwork material. Examples: circular saw, reciprocating saw, router, table saw, mitre saw, drill, impact drill, nail gun, etc. • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install timber, plywood, steel forms and other materials used for precast concrete moulds. • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. • Fit and install trim items, such as form woods, moulding and hardware. • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures. • Maintain and repair formwork using Bondo and fiberglass resin as needed. • Supervise apprentices and other construction workers. • May prepare cost estimates for clients. • Be able to measure, cut and install rebar reinforcement as per blueprints. Hours of work are 40 hours/weeks (overtime paid after 44 hours). Pay is $30/hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed high school.
