Hiring Carpenters (Framing construction) Job posting by Employer J&J Framing Ltd Job details • Location: Various location in the Lower Mainland as per business contracts, business address is 32083 Hillcrest Avenue suite 122, Abbotsford, BC- V2T 1S3 • Salary: $ 37 hourly / 30-40 hours per week • Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time • Early morning, Shift, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime available • Starts as soon as possible • Vacancies: 2 vacancies Requirements: Languages: Basic English Education: Completion of secondary school is required. Experience: 1-2 years of previous experience in the related field is required or Completion of 2- 3 years of apprenticeship program is required. On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work site environment: Outdoors, At heights, Dusty Responsibilities/Duties As a General Carpenter, job duties include : • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures residential or commercial establishments. • Following the directions of the Supervisor and maintaining a positive work environment at worksite • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and other hardware. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculating requirements. • Keep the work area clean, safe and organized. • Check material for quality and report any issues. • Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wooden material, and other hardware • Building foundations, installing floor beams, lay sub-flooring and erecting walls and roof systems. • Train or guide helpers or apprenticeships when needed, estimate cost and materials.
