Completion of a training program in children's care or a related field may be required for childcare providers. Childcare or household management experience may be required for less than 1 year. - Language: English - Work Settings: Private Home - Children Ages: 2 children ages 5 and 10 years old Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Care for and supervise children in the employer's home - Prepare and serve nutritious meals - Assist with bathe, dress, and mealtime - Organize and plan age-appropriate games and outings for children - Prepare children for rest periods - Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home - Attend to the emotional well-being of the children - Transport children to and from appointments or playdates - Keep records or notes of each child's daily activities and update parents on their health status - Light housekeeping (cleaning and tidying up after the child) - Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents - Assist with children's supervision and housekeeping during out-of-town trips when necessary Preference for this position will be given to Canadians, permanent residents, new immigrants, aboriginals, youth, older workers, and people with disabilities with the appropriate experience.
