Job Description A Saskatoon based daycare is looking to expand its team, by introducing hard working Early Childhood Educator (ECE) who thoroughly enjoy the bustle of childcare. The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) is responsible for ensuring that each child in the daycare receives a high quality of care and provides a safe and nurturing environment to every child. The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) is also required in abiding the Saskatchewan Childcare Regulations. Applicant must be a Saskatchewan certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE). Responsibilities: • Ensure the delivery of a developmentally appropriate, play based program by applying specialized skills and knowledge related to early childhood education. • Assist children in completing tasks of daily living (eating, toileting, dressing and using learning materials such as scissors, pencils, etc.) • Effectively collaborate and communicate with other employees, families, and outside agencies in an effort to properly support the needs of individual children. • Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and snacks Additional Skills • Maintain daycare supplies and equipment • Assist in housekeeping duties • Assist in maintaining records of children Professional Qualifications: • SK ECE Certified • Minimum 2 years of experience in a childcare-specific or related setting (required) • Punctual and reliable • Strong interpersonal skills • Collaborative • Energetic and personable • Organization skills • Effective time management Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Work Location: In-person, Saskatoon, SK
