Position: Janitor, Caretaker and Building Superintendent(NOC 6733) Duties: • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings • Empty trash cans and other waste containers • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas • Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair • May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies • Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the establishment • May supervise other workers. • And any extra duties required by employer • Be on call Working Conditions: • Work is primarily performed indoors, with some tasks like snow-clearing being completed outdoors. Workers often lift heavy materials and work with cleaning chemicals, making safety precautions necessary. • Working five days a week and alternative weekends and holidays. Employment requirements: • Completion of secondary school may be required. • Previous cleaning experience may be required. • Progression to supervisory positions is possible with additional training or experience. • Ability to speak English PAY • Annual Salary of 36,000.00 • Plus Benefits • Vacation pay
