KITCHEN HELPER Location: Yellow Wheat Corp o/a Chinese Wok, 22 Westside Dr Cochrane, AB T4C 1M1 Salary: $15.50 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per Week Terms of employment: Permanent employment/Full time Working Hours: may be assigned at early morning, daytime, evening, nighttime, weekends; might be asked to work overtime Start date: as soon as possible Vacancies: 1 Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is a plus but not required Experience: No experience needed; will train Work setting: Urban area; fast food Tasks: • Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit • Wash and cut meats and other food items • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware • Place dishes in storage area • Scour pots and pans • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas • Keep records of the quantities of food used • Package take-out food • Prepare, heat and finish simple food items • Stock refrigerators and salad bars • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs • Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment • Handle and store cleaning products • Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas • Remove kitchen garbage and trash • Sharpen kitchen knives • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors • Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables • Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available Work conditions and physical capabilities: • Fast-paced environment • Overtime may be required • Physically demanding • Repetitive tasks • Standing for extended periods • Work under pressure • Attention to detail Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) Personal suitability: • Client focus • Efficient interpersonal skills • Reliability • Team player • Ability to multitask • Initiative • Dependability • Positive attitude How to apply: By email at chinesewok.ab@outlook.com Only apply to this job if: • You are a Canadian citizen, a permanent or a temporary resident of Canada. • You have a valid Canadian work permit. • If you are not authorized to work in Canada, do not apply.
