Labourer in Wood Processing (NOC-95103) IBMD INC. is looking for General Labourer Workers in Wood Processing to start immediately. We provide a top-quality softwood products and a finest quality small dimension lumber products for retail/wholesale local lumber yards, industrial markets and wholesalers throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the United States. IBMD provides competitive wages, benefits, and safe environment to our workers. The employment is full-time (30-35 hours per week) and it will be a two-year contract-based job. If moving from another province or country, transportation allowance may be provided. Below are the main duties of this employment: • Transport finished and unfinished wood to its designated places throughout the plant. • Assist the carpenter of designer in manufacturing garden products such as Planter boxes, and Trellises and other custom projects • Clean wood processing machines and equipment such as saws, cutting down tools, crowbar, picaroon etc. • Make wood bundles, pulpwood and other processing materials onto the pallets for pickup or shipments. • Move wood waste, and scraped lumber to bins or recycle containers and clean the work area • Sort, pile, and transport processed wood, panel boards and similar wood products during various stages of wood processing, manually or with forklift • Feed conveyors, saws, and other equipment to process lumber, shingles, plywood and similar wood products • Clean wood processing area, wood placement area (outside yard) using shovels, hoses and other tools • Assist other wood processing workers to operate, maintain and repair various machines and equipment and carry out other wood processing activities. • Perform other labouring and elemental activities.
